Executive Director
Glenn Montgomery joined OSEIA on June 1, 2010 with over 23 years of experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Most recently, he served as a consultant to Energy Trust of Oregon and the Portland Development Commission promoting the solar industry through outreach, education and "cluster" development initiatives.
Glenn spent roughly 10 years in the software industry on large-scale systems wearing a variety of hats from programmer to group manager to business development representative. During that time, he learned to appreciate the role that technology plays in a business environment.
In the non-profit sector, Glenn directed charitable programs, promoted volunteerism, and applied his organizational skills to co-found two organizations engaged in social justice.
Glenn also served as the Sustainable Development Liaison for the State of Oregon Economic and Community Development Department (now Business Oregon) and developed new initiatives to support "green development" in the built environment and energy industries.
Beyond his professional role, Glenn is a choir member and a Trustee of the Board at First Unitarian Church in downtown Portland, a member of Station L Rowing Club, a volunteer at Grant High School where his youngest daughter attends, and a benefactor of UO where his eldest is earning her degree.
Glenn received his B.S. in Computer Applications Management from the University of Portland.
